Proposed text, not yet in effect

Nexus Property Management Software Solutions prepared this on 24 September 2026 for The Landings Association to review. The Association has not adopted it, so it is not an agreement with anyone yet. It shows what residents would be asked to accept.

The Landings service requests
For The Landings Association, Skidaway Island, Georgia

Everyone at The Landings should be able to report a problem, whether they use a screen reader, magnify the screen, navigate by keyboard, or simply find small type hard to read. This statement says what the app does to make that possible, where it still falls short, and how to report a barrier.

The standard it aims for

The app is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. It has not yet been independently audited, so this is a goal the app is built and tested against, not a claim of certified conformance. An independent review is planned before the app is used by all residents.

What the app does

  • The colours were chosen and measured to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios, in both the light and the dark appearance, which follows your device setting.
  • The app is built from standard buttons, links and form fields, so it can be used with a keyboard, and the element in focus is clearly outlined.
  • Form fields and buttons are labelled for screen readers.
  • The page language is declared, so a screen reader uses the right voice.
  • Pages are built to fit a narrow phone screen, down to 320 pixels wide, without sideways scrolling.
  • Animations are switched off if your device asks for reduced motion.
  • A photo is optional. A report can be made in words alone.
  • The app works with a weak or missing signal, so a report is not lost because a connection dropped.

Known limitations

  • There is no "skip to main content" link yet, so keyboard users move through the navigation on each page.
  • Photos residents attach to a report have no text description. Staff see the written description beside each photo.
  • Status updates that appear while you are on a page are not yet announced to screen readers automatically. Reloading the page reads them.
  • The map for dropping a pin is hard to use with a screen reader or a keyboard. Typing where the problem is, or tapping Use my location, does the same job and needs no map.

These are listed so you know about them, and they are being worked on.

Other ways to report a problem

If the app does not work for you, you can still report a problem another way. Contact the Association and staff will file the report for you.

Tell us about a barrier

If something in the app is hard or impossible to use, please say what you were trying to do, what device and browser or assistive technology you were using, and what happened. You will get a reply within five working days.
